Applications are invited from experienced candidates with relevant educational qualifications for an immediate opening in our British curriculum school as Head of Upper Primary Section. The core purpose of this role is to provide professional, highly effective leadership that will achieve outstanding results in the Primary wing. To exercise leadership, demonstrate vision, and empower the team to deliver departmental targets. The potential candidate is expected to ensure student learning outcomes through an enriched curriculum, teaching pedagogy and assessment practices that inspire high levels of engagement, attainment and progress for students of all abilities.
- Foster a learning environment leading to continuous improvement in academic excellence and holistic education in the upper primary wing.
- Contribute to the strategic leadership of the school as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Contributing to the school improvement plans, and self-evaluation of the teaching and learning within the section.
- Supervise the instructional programs of the school, evaluating lesson plans and observing classes on a regular basis.
- Able to demonstrate a comprehensive and confident knowledge of best practice pedagogy.
- Imbibe and enhance UAE culture in the school in line with the guidelines and regulations of the National Agenda Parameter.
- Oversee the e-learning strategies, to ensure high levels of team member engagement and commitment to new initiatives.
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to inclusion.
- Execution of learning and development training programs and delivery of live and online workshops.
- Liaise with the Curriculum and Assessment team to provide up-to-date information on curriculum development & triangulation of data; progress and attainment in all performance indicators.
Competencies: Knowledge of KHDA inspection frameworks, strategic planning, curriculum development, knowledge of child protection and health and safety, experience in developing and sustaining high-performance teams, and highly effective relationship management with the parent community.
